To conclude DiSCOVERY's hat-trick week in operation, Crawley-based rap prodigy, 'Brydon', scores his first ever DiSCOVERY goal, and in doing so secures the 'Video Of The Week' trophy which is presented in honour of the phenomenal 'Rollin' short film.
Astute readers possessing 20/20 vision may have noticed a certain similarity between an element enclosed in the 'Rollin' artwork, and the artwork of last week's DiSCOVERY 'Track Of The Week' winner, 'Miss You", by 'Broughton'. There is good reason for this, Brydon and Broughton fuse to form rap collective, branded 'NQH', standing for 'Not Quite Human'.
Brydon and Broughton not only share the same, highly attractive visual branding as a result of being part of the 'NQH' collective; both musicians also share identical, Mount Everest-like ambitions, and of course, possess the vast levels of talent required to make the ascent to the top.
Brydon himself has a simply incredible discography, with consistently classic content being created and released, on all formats over the last 8 years. As well as having two, phenomenal solo projects titled Paper Planes & Contradictions, and Paper Planes & Contradictions II, Brydon also played a mammoth sized role in the highly successful collaborative 'NQH' EP, 'Joint Thoughts'.
Factors further elevating Brydon's stance as one of the greatest under-appreciated rappers to grace the UK, are his single, and visual content levels. With 11 Spotify released singles accompanying Brydon's colossal project portfolio, the last obstacle to leap is to have immersive visual content for fans to engage with, and Brydon has not fallen at the final hurdle.
Brydon has short films featured across all leading UK rap channels such as: Link Up TV, GRM Daily, SBTV and BlackBox, however, none of these videos are the reason you are analysing this text right now. On this occasion, the independently released 'Rollin' visuals caught the DiSCOVERY eye, and therefore, claim the 'Video Of The Week'. Before reading our short synopsis on the 'Rollin' movie, we encourage you to view it first - you can do so by clicking the link below:
An ever present figure in all 'NQH' produced videos is the behind-the-lens genius of 'Ellis King'. The gifted filmmaker has worked with leading industry UK artists, including the likes of Skepta, Dizzee Rascal, D Double E, and many more. This quality is transparent for all to see when viewing Brydon's 'Rollin', and any 'NQH' released films for that matter.
In our opinion, 'Rollin' is the strongest of Brydon's videos by some distance. This is for a number of reasons, however, mainly because the amalgamation of hard hitting punchlines, at times indecipherable wordplay, and of course, stunning shots create and overall work of art with 'World's Strongest Man' like power.
In truth, although 'Rollin' has been allocated as Brydon's leading visual piece of content on this occasion, virtually any video on YouTube that's name is associated to Brydon's is incredible, and with this in mind, we suggest that you make your own mind up by viewing the below short films:
Sentimental - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Moment - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Skull On The Scales - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Monotone - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Kite - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
P.P.A.C - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
